As we evolve, what remains consistent is our commitment to making heirloom-quality products while establishing new standards for environmental responsibility.

We partner only with factories that are equally committed to environmentally sensitive practices. Whenever possible, antiquated equipment is swapped out for new technology with a lighter footprint. Neither metals nor acetates are discarded, and are instead recycled into new objects for resale.

Our eyewear is produced in France, a country leading the way in environmental ethics. The DRIRE—a decentralized service of the French Ministry of Ecology—monitors factory facilities, the equipment used, and the waste discharged. It also limits the quantity of production per year to minimize the impact of industrial processes.

AHLEM has implemented its own direct actions toward sustainability, reducing single-use plastics across the entire line, adopting compostable packaging and introducing the ReFramed program to upcycle used frames into fresh objects of beauty and purpose.
